San Ildafonso Seventh-day Adventist Church in North Bulacan 2 District conducted four Vacation Bible Schools (VBS) in various places two months in a row in April and May 2009.
First, on April 6-11 at San Ildefonso Adventist Church with 27 pupils who graduated. Second, on April 20-24 at Calawitan Elementary School (CES)with 50.Third, on May 11-15 at Matimbubung Elementary School (MES) with 50. And last, on May 25-30 at Amanda Village, Diliman, San Rafael.,with 20. This happened because of the strong dedication of the Children Ministries Department (ChM)with the help of the Adventist Youth Ministry Department (AY).
"Though sometimes I'm quite tired to teach the children because of their restlessness," Marilyn Cimafranca, one of the team leaders said. "I am fully satisfied and inspired with the result of the effort."
Cimafranca thanked God for the testimony of one girlwho said, "Sana polagi ninyong gawin ito para sa amin para po mas marami pa po kaming matutunan lalo natungkol sa Dios; at kahit malaki na po ako ay sasali pa rin po ako (I hope that you will always do this for us so that we will learn more about God; .and even if I will be grown-up I will still join.)
"My summer vacation was not wasted because I was part of this Vacation Bible School. It helped me a lot as a practicing teacher," said one organizer FelyDela Cruz.
"Our bonding as Adventist Youth gets stronger," said Alvin Conception, AY leader of the church.
