CAC holds family camping

The Casiguran Adventist Church (CAC) held a family camping on November 28-30, 2009 at Sitio Gumacas, Brgy. Cozo, Casiguran, Aurora, with the theme, "Home Builders: Enhancing Relationship with Spouse and Children."

Elders and leaders of CAC initiated this camping that was participated by three churches-Casiguran, Bianoan and Gumacas. The family camping aimed at improving the bonding of each member of the family as well as relationship with church members.

Eunice Torre, Sabbath School superintendent; Joel Torre Adventist Community Services (ACS)coordinator; Ronel Castillo, elder of CAC; and Pastor Sherwin Villarica, Northern Aurora district pastor, answered the questions pertaining to family issues raised during the open forum during the Sabbath School.

Villarica, who was also the divine worship speaker, talked on the topic, "Home Made Sweet."

"Love is not a destiny; it is never-ending courtship," Villarica stressed."It's not till death do us part or as long as I live but till we meet again in new heavens and new earth."

Evangeline Torre, Children's Ministry leader, discussed "Parents' and Children's Behavior" during the Adventist Youth (AY) program.

Moreover, the camping offered various programs such as joint family worship led by each family where each of the members talked about the traits that needed to be improved for the betterment of their relationship and also positive attitudes that contributed to the bonding of the family. Attendees also participated the recreational activities prepared to develop camaraderie and sportsmanship.

"Masaya ako na may mga programang ganito ang kapatiran na sa kabila ng kawalan ko ng asawa at anak ay naramdaman ko na may pamilya pa din akong maituturing na nagmamahal sa akin (I am happy that the church has a program like this where even with my lack of hudband and children, I still do have a family that loves me),"said Cesaria Labro, an 87-year-old visitor from Tayabas Adventist Church.

"Pagpapala ito sa akin at sa aking pamilya sapagkat sa loob ng ilang araw nang pananatili sa lugar na ito ay naramdaman ko na ang malaking pagbabago sa aking pakikitungo sa aking asawa... (This is a blessing for me and my family because in the span of some days I've been here in this place, I felt the big change in the way I deal with my wife...," said Nardo Cordial of Casiguran Adventist Church.
